Wang Jianlin, Chairman of the Wanda Group, made a speech at the mid-year conference.

The Wanda Group held its annual mid-year conference in Dalian, Liaoning Province, on July 16.

Chairman Wang Jianlin pointed out at the meeting that, despite the difficult economic situation in China, especially for real estate industry, the Wanda Group still achieved a good performance in the first half of 2012.

In the first 6 months of this year, the Wanda Group received an income of 56.21 billion yuan ($8.9 billion). It is expected that the group’s annual income will reach 140 billion yuan ($22.2 billion) this year.

The group has seen especially fast growth in its cultural, tourism and retail industries.

Over the same period last year, Wanda Cinema Line's income increased by 61%, Wanda Hotel Company by 82% and Wanda Department Store Chain by 70%. The Wanda Commercial Management achieved a year-on-year increase of 47% in rental income.
