On November 30, non-Communist Parties, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and personages without party affiliation organized the Award Presentation Ceremony for Contributors to Building a Well-off Society in Beijing. Mr Jia Qinglin, Member of CPC Central Committee Political Bureau Standing Committee and Chairman of the CPPCC, was invited to deliver a speech at the ceremony. Mr Yin Weimin, Minister for Human Resources and Social Security, read the decision to jointly deliver awards by the CPC Central Committee United Front Work Department, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the central committees of non-Communist Parties and the ACFIC. Mr Wang Jianlin, Chairman of Dalian Wanda Group, was awarded the title of “An Honorable Individual with Contributions to Building a Well-off Society”.

During the "Eleventh Five-Year National Plan" period, non-Communist Parties, ACFIC and personages without party affiliation have made important contributions to participating in the deliberation and administration of state affairs, democratic supervision and social services. A large number of advanced individuals have emerged. In recognition of such individuals, and in order to further encourage the united front members to make more contributions to implementing the “Twelfth-Five Year National Plan” and building a well-off society, since June 2011 the CPC Central Committee United Front Work Department, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Central Committees of non-Communist Parties and the ACFIC jointly launched a process for selecting the advanced individuals from non-Communist Parties, personages without party affiliation and ACFIC, which have contributed to building a well-off society.
